Another field in which Nicolon membranes have proven its worth is in landfills where it has been used as a capping material. The gasses given off by the waste is intercepted by the membrane and vented off. Thus Nicolon membranes prevent odour pollution.
Moreover Nicolon membranes are used as a temporary cover for contaminated dumps, possibly in conjunction with other Nicolon products. The light weight material is so easy to handle that it can be used in areas of any complexity.
